Green Stay
Sustainable camping
We are proud to be part of the green transition and work to make our space more sustainable every day.
We, our guests and the surrounding community are committed to protecting the environment and living sustainably. That’s why Bjerregaard Camping is committed to making a difference so that future generations can enjoy the nature around us.
We are dedicated to continuing our efforts to be a sustainable campsite and look forward to welcoming our guests to an experience where nature and the environment are at the center.
Renewable energy sources
All our electricity consumption is generated 100% from renewable energy sources, including wind, hydro, solar and biomass. We prioritize sustainable energy to reduce our CO2 emissions and contribute to a cleaner future.
We use solar thermal energy to partially heat the hot water in all showers and our communal kitchen. This helps reduce our dependence on conventional energy sources and reduces our environmental footprint.
Waste sorting
Waste is sorted.
Containers are set up with clear marking of waste type.
LED lighting and water-saving measures
To reduce our energy consumption, we’ve converted around 95% of all light sources on the site to LED. We aim to reach 100% LED lighting to maximise energy efficiency and reduce our CO2 footprint even further.
We’ve implemented water-saving measures to reduce our water consumption and protect an important resource. By paying attention to our water use, we can ensure we use water efficiently and responsibly.
We’ve launched additional electricity- and water-saving measures, and when renovating and building new facilities, such as cabins, we look for environmentally friendly solutions and materials.
Charging an electric car
It’s about 400 meters to the nearest fast charger so you can charge your car.
Payment can be made by credit card etc.
It is NOT allowed to charge the car on the campsite’s electricity grid, as this will overload it.
