Booking conditions

Booking conditions

The rental terms apply to camping, stellplatz (pitch rental), cabins and mobile homes.

Payment:

When booking a stay at Bjerregaard Camping, the full amount is paid at the time of booking.

  • Once we have received your booking, we will send your rental confirmation by email. When you receive the confirmation, it is your responsibility to make sure the period and the selected unit are correct.
  • Payment deadlines etc. are stated in the rental confirmation. If the payment deadlines are not met, Bjerregaard Camping reserves the right, without notice, to treat this as the renter’s cancellation of the contract. In such cases, the cancellation will be settled according to the cancellation fees set out in the booking terms.
  • If you can’t find the email, we recommend checking your spam or junk folder, as it can sometimes end up there.
  • If, for any reason, you do not receive your contract confirming your purchase, and you have not received an error message from the system, please contact us by email or by phone.

Right of withdrawal / Cancellation:

If you wish to cancel the rental agreement, you must notify Bjerregaard Camping either by email to info@bjerregaardcamping.dk or by phone on 97315044. Please note that if you cancel by phone, it is your responsibility to check that you have received an email from Bjerregaard Camping confirming the cancellation; otherwise, the cancellation is not valid.

Cancellation and changes to booking:

  • If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, the full package price will be refunded, minus a cancellation fee of € 97,-.
  • If you cancel between 30 and 14 days before arrival, 50% of the stay price will be refunded, excluding the cancellation fee of € 97,-.
  • If you cancel less than 14 days before arrival, no refund will be given.
  • Once you have started your holiday with us, the booked period is binding and cannot be transferred to others.

Transfer of rental agreement to another renter

The booking can be transferred to another renter up to 10 days before the start of the rental period, subject to a change fee of € 69,-. Any later transfer is considered a cancellation and follows the cancellation terms above.

Changes to booking

There is no change fee for extending a stay or changing the number of accompanying guests. Add-on products can be added or cancelled up until arrival at no extra charge.

Renter’s responsibility

The renter undertakes to treat the unit (camping unit/cabin/mobile home) responsibly and to leave it tidy and cleaned upon departure.

If any damage occurs during the rental period, the renter is obliged to notify Bjerregaard Camping immediately so the matter can be handled.

The renter is obliged to comply with the campsite’s rules of conduct.

Bjerregaard Camping assumes no liability towards the renter or the renter’s property. The renter is therefore responsible for their own insurance coverage during the stay.

Complaints

At Bjerregaard Camping, we do our best to make your stay both safe and memorable. If there is still something you are not satisfied with, we would very much like to hear about it right away.

  • If you experience faults, defects or anything else that affects your stay, please contact reception as soon as possible.
  • If your rental unit is not sufficiently cleaned, or if there is damage or defects we have not discovered, this must be reported within 2 hours of arrival so we can fix it immediately.
  • Complaints about the booking process, the booking itself or the product (stay) must be made within a reasonable time after you have discovered the error or should have discovered the error by ordinary review of your contract. Complaints within two months will always be considered within a reasonable time.
  • Two years after receipt of the product (the stay), the right to complain expires pursuant to Section 83(1) of the Danish Sale of Goods Act, unless otherwise agreed.
  • The campsite is located in a scenic natural area, and therefore high groundwater, animals and insects may occur. This is natural given the location close to the fjord, and Bjerregaard Camping cannot be held liable for such occurrences.

When Bjerregaard Camping receives your complaint about a product, it will be handled as quickly as possible. Bjerregaard Camping will decide whether the received product should be refunded, exchanged, or whether a price reduction should be granted.

You also have the option to complain to the Consumer Complaints Board at www.forbrug.dk.

Force majeure and extraordinary events

The rental agreement may be cancelled by Bjerregaard Camping if performance is impossible or significantly impeded due to circumstances that Bjerregaard Camping could not reasonably have foreseen when entering into this agreement (force majeure), including but not limited to:

  • War and riots
  • Natural disasters
  • Oil and petrol rationing
  • Pollution disasters
  • Epidemics and pandemics
  • Suspension of currency trading
  • Unusual weather conditions, drought or flooding
  • Border closures, travel bans in the customer’s home country, entry bans to Denmark, or restrictions within Denmark’s borders regarding travel between different regions
  • Traffic conditions
  • Strike, lockout and similar events

If Bjerregaard Camping terminates the rental agreement due to force majeure, the renter is not entitled to compensation. Instead, the renter will receive a voucher corresponding to the amount paid. The voucher can be used for a new stay for up to 3 years from the date of issue.

Restrictions regarding entry, etc.

The customer is obliged to pay the agreed price even if, due to travel restrictions imposed by the authorities, the customer is prevented from reaching the campsite. This applies regardless of whether this is due to travel bans in the customer’s home country, entry bans to Denmark, or restrictions within Denmark’s borders regarding travel between different regions. In such a situation, the customer is therefore not entitled to cancel or receive a price reduction.

Disputes

Any legal disputes relating to the rental will be handled by the court in Herning under Danish law.
