Ringkøbing Fjord is often referred to as one of Northern Europe’s most attractive kite and windsurfing areas due to the high winds and shallow water depth.
Only a 10-minute walk from the campsite is the roaring North Sea. So if you are looking for bigger challenges, and perhaps high waves – Bjerregaard Camping is the perfect starting point.
Surf in and out - direct access to the fjord
As the only campsite in the area, our guests can start and end their trip on the fjord directly from the campsite.
The campsite’s own beach at Ringkøbing Fjord provides excellent opportunities for almost all kinds of water sports – including canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Wind- and kitesurfing on the fjord is permitted from pentecost to August 31 and may only take place within a marked course. (restriction due to bird life), while canoeing, SUP and kayaking are allowed all year round.
Canoe and kayak rental
Rent a 3-person canoe or a 1-2 person sit-on-top kayak for a pleasant trip on Ringkøbing Fjord. Experience the magnificent nature from the waterside, which is a great contrast to the roar of the North Sea.
For example, head south from Bjerregaard Camping to Nymindegab where the old fishing village is the obvious turning point. Please note that canoeing is allowed throughout the season.
We have canoes for max. 3 people and 1-2 person kayaks – life jackets are included and mandatory.
SUP Board rental
Stand-up Paddle or SUP paddling has become very popular in a short time. Now you can rent a SUP board at Bjerregaard Camping. Experience the otherwise rugged nature from a completely different angle. For example, head south from Bjerregaard Camping to Nymindegab and enjoy the area from the water side.
Please note that SUP paddling is allowed throughout the season.

Cable park - water ski course
3, 2, 1 …. Excite your senses and fly over the fjord.
Forget about brackish water and boring surroundings. Forget about speedboats and expensive fuel.
Cable Park is waterskiing and wakeboarding for everyone. In reality, it’s very simple. Instead of being towed behind a boat, you’re pulled around by a cable stretched between 5 masts.
